An original painting by Deanna Mullins created especially for breast cancer patients to bring awareness and provide inspiration for those facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
I too am a breast cancer patient currently three years cancer-free.
I created this painting while undergoing surgery and radiation treatments at West Cancer Clinic that began in 2019. I wish to use these works of art to encourage others to "Reach for the Stars" and fight their best fight to beat breast cancer!

Tough Enough to Wear Pink Even During a Pandemic!)
I began painting "Reach for the Stars" during my surgery and radiation treatments for breast cancer. Soon after completing my treatments the pandemic hit. I think it was a special time for everyone to reflect, it sure was for me. I had met some amazing people along the way during my cancer journey and they inspired me in my work. I wanted to help more than ever and the seeds of Pillows, Posters and Prints were planted in my heart. I built my site here and have slowly been building my business dedicated to supporting non-profits who help others.

I visited many waiting rooms while receiving treatments for breast cancer. And found that waiting rooms can be scary, lonely places. For this reason I would like to offer "Reach for the Stars" in a full-reproduction of the original art which now hangs at West Cancer Clinic to encourage other breast cancer patients as they wait for their treatments. My hope is that this art will one day hang in breast cancer treatment centers to inspire and provide a source of encouragement. The art will be a giclee finish, 1.5" sides, sturdy canvas stretched over a wood backing, ready to hang, in a full-size reproduction of the original artwork of 36" x 48". I will deliver art within 100 miles of Memphis and shipping will be available at standard rates. Cost will be $450.00 plus tax, delivery and/or shipping. Symbolic Elements of "Reach for the Stars"
Description of Artwork
Three Figures- In the painting there are 3 Human Spirits reaching for hope, reaching for stars. Three is the first number to which the meaning “All” was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains a beginning, middle and an end. The power of three is universal and is the tripartite named in nature of the world as heaven, earth and waters.
It is humans revealed as body soul and spirit.
The Moon- The Moon is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies a cycle. The phases of the Moon symbolize immortality, eternity; and enlightenment. The Moon also represents the natural cycle of life that is always changing, the subconscious, influence, darkness, emotion, renewal and eternity.
Stars-Stars may symbolize humanity, divinity, hope, faith, guidance, God, excellence, motivation, magic, fame and life.
Mountains-The spiritual meaning of a mountain is often associated with consistency, inspiration, spiritual awakening and overcoming obstacles. Mountains symbolize progress and having the mental
strength to overcome the challenges one is currently facing or has faced in the past.
Rivers/streams/water-symbolic of the flow of life.
Daisies-Each breast contains 15 to 20 lobes of glandular tissue, arranged like the petals of a daisy.
In the painting the 7 daisies represent the human breast.
Home-A place of peace, comfort and refuge.
Pink Ribbons-Breast Cancer symbols of Hope.
Sparkle-the power of science and medicine and their ability to heal.
Evergreen Trees-everlasting life with God.
